    Stu,

The main links are down as is explained above. Did you try the BTN Mirror that was mentioned a couple posts above this one?

    Hi stony,

You are correct. While the main protection of SpywareGuard is its ability to scan program installer files prior to them executing, which is totally independant of the browser being used, the secondary features (download and browser hijack protections) are really focued on Internet Explorer. If you want to use SpywareGuard anyway, you could uncheck those two options on the SpywareGuard management screen.

    Hi Chris, and welcome.

Scroll down the page until you see the BTN link on the lower right side. You can download a copy of SpywareGuard 2.2 there for now until the other locations are set up.

    Hello JavaCool Guy...

OK...I am removing my first post.

I could not get the new installation to "do anything" after clicking and going to Programs, etc.

Duh. I appears that "doing something" as far as SpyGuard is concerned is to quietly sit there, waiting for an ememy.

So, since the SG is in the taskbar, I guess that I'm OK after all.

    Hi caring :)

    Welcome to Wilders.

Take a look at reply#4 by LowWaterMark in this thread,

    http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=18784;start=msg115429#msg115429

This explains why Spywareguard is not updated very often.

I downloaded and installed spywareguard2.2. When I try to run it, I get this error

MSCOMCTL.OCX or one of its depencencies is not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid

    What does this mean o_O

    My OS is Win2000

    Hi,

Catch-22. Trying to download the SpywareGuard.exe. I click on the link and inevitably am tossed to a bogus index (similar to the one that's hijacking my IE browser home page). Helllp. Do I have a trojan that's smart enough to end-run attempts to load antidotes?

    Thanks,

    Vickie
