    Here is what happened...

I am in the process of changing to Linux. I shrunk my windows partition to free space for linux, I know I did it without doing some important steps... Windown is now unbootable and I can not repair the installation... I have a older image that was the windows partition and linux partition (with a different distro) Is it possible to restore JUST the c:\ partition from the image? Even though it is not the same size anymore?

If so, I can not find my TI boot cd, can I create one online?

    Thanks so much

TI 9.0 I think by the way!

    1) Yes, you can restore just the C partition
    2) Use TI to create new bootable media. If you don't have an installation and have lost the installation file, download a new one from your personal area on the Acronis website (assuming you registered the product when you bought it).

    Hello all,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup software

    nixie21,

We'd like to inform you that you can create Acronis Bootable Rescue Media by installing Acronis True Image on another computer with recordable drive and starting Acronis Bootable media wizard. The created CD will be 100% usable on your faulty computer.

If you have any further questions concerning our software, please submit a request for technical support or post any of them on this forum. We will do our best to help you as soon as possible.

    Thank you

Thanks. What if I do not have access to another computer with burner? Can I just download the CD?

    Thanks!

    Hello nixie21,

Please notice that it's impossible to download a CD(compact disk). It's only possible to download a CD image(a file), which will still have to be burned onto a CD, so it would be same as using an Acronis True Image installation.

    Thank you.
