Hide the icon or stop egui.exe.

    Right click on the tray
    Click Customise noticiations
findt he ESET logo and click on "hide when inactive ", change to "always hide".
    Then click on Okay.

You right click on the task bar, and click Properties>customize where it says Notification area, find the NOD icon and click on the drop down list and highlight always hide. Then click OK. At a later date you can always reverse your decision.:D

The option you are being given has nothing to do with the NOD32 icon.

They are telling you how to hide the icon by using "customize notificatio icons"

try right clicking in between the icons until you see an option to customize notification icons

You are selecting the program icon and not the "taskbar".

You want to be on the taskbar at the bottom of the screen when right clicking...see image for details.
