    Hello All,
I just updated to 3.0.566.0. It installed fine. But now Outlook Express crashes every time I try to open it. With the previous 3.0 version I just had to click on Outlook a couple of times to bring it up. 566 seems to have made things worse.
Anyway I resolved the crashing issue by disabling email integration again.

I upgraded to 3.0.566.0 and started having OE6 just disappear when I tried to insert a photo. I was getting really brassed off with having to re-type my message. It only seemed to happen the first time after a reboot. After that, it was fine. Also, IE7 would just trip out for no apparent reason. After reading this thread, I've uninstalled v3 and reinstalled v2.7. Now all is well in the land of NOD.

Until this happened, I was impressed with NOD. It was much less intrusive than Trend, which I had before. The big name brands, Trend, AVG, Semantec etc seem to be forcing you to buy faster and faster machines, just to stand still performance-wise. When I discovered NOD 2.7, it was like I had bought a new machine. I think I'll stick with it until they sort out the issues with V3.

Yeah exactly, these guys are trying to do what NO OTHER security software has done.

Keep the program lean while providing full support.

Would you rather them lay a system resource eater of an update to fix a problem like the rest?

I'd rather they waited to release something decent than upload these buggy Versions . I've never tested anything outside a "BETA" release worse than this in 12 years.

My Outlook Express is really screwed up by version 3.
I let it run on my test machine today "bings" and all, just to see what else i could see wrong with it..
For one, after i deleted mail, it still says i have mail now in the bottom right.
For two, all my sent mail has had its account info removed from it.
for three, when the NOD box decides to appear (and thats if it decides) it looks horribly out of place.
And for four, it still takes a while for O.E to close.
Not a great start is it lol. :doubt:

Come on ESET get to work !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NOD v3 and XP
Only have a 2 second delay to Exit Outlook Express which is no problem at all for me. Everything else in V3 is smooth and fast.

Great. but it doesnt help us who have problem after problem. I tried Version 3 on 5 different PCs all running XP Pro... Bing bing bing bing bing.
After my license runs out i doubt whether i'll renew it with Eset again. I dont think the team who coded the excellent 2.7 worked on Version 3 at all.

A couple of hours after saying that all was mostly well upon trying to open O.E., I got a blue screen with BAD_POOL_CALLER at the top. This was a complete shut down requiring a hard reboot. I understood none of the techno stuff on the blue screen but fortunately the reboot went well.

Needless to say, v3.0.x is off and v2.7 is back on working happily with everything. I'll wait for v3.1 before getting back in the game.
