So, i decided to try NOD32 v3 instead. and low and behold, same shite. surprise. Now, POP3 and HTTP scanning dont work, and virus scanner cant init nor scan (instantly reports 0 scanned, 0 detected when clicking standard scan) So, what is it exactly im doing wrong? ive sent a logfile of ESS, do you want one from NOD32 v3 too? ID REALLY LIKE A RESPONS. I will now go back to my PAID version of NOD32 v2.7 which works SPLENDID. Expect me to not rebuy NOD32 when my license expires if this does not resolve.

WinXP SP2 stripped down alot with nLite. No Changes to OS since ESS v1b which installed fine. Since then nothing works

No AV/FW other then ESS / NOD32v3 at the time of try. Currently gone back to NOD32v2.7

I'm posting here cause ESET just wont reply my mail anymore, its put on hold or something.

    anyway, hardware:

    Radeon 9800XT 256MB
cant remember Motherboard atm, at work, but i will come back to you on that. ethernet and audio is built in atleast. drivers up to date.

What more info would you like, LookInMyPC produces slim to no info, for ex event logs...

Since you are having trouble with ESS and not the AV program, try posting in the ESS forum. Posting in the appropriate forum usually provides better results.

I see you failed to read the initial post.

    I tried ESS. failed.
    I then tried NOD32v3. failed.

and also, the link at the first topic shows my attempts at ESS already.
