Edit: It just updated and is back to Blue from Red. The test, maybe, is whether this will happen at Each Update attempt. I'm setup as Default on all - Will advise if Red reappears after Next Virus Sig Update attempt.

ESS 3.0.560.0 DnLoaded this a.m. FROM ESET Trial Site and Worked Fine - Now Red -Invalid user name or Password - Virus Sig Update database Failed -I saw the canned ID - Password entered in Trial Setup, so how do I fix this?

My suggestion would be to PM Marcos with the UN/PW youve got and a link to this thread and ask if he can check it. you may have gotten a key that was leaked and thus blacklisted.

Thanks for Replying. This a.m.'s Virus Sig Update occurred with no issue. Having DnLoaded from ESET.com Site I'm confident there could be no Blacklisted Key.

ESET will likely find that XP Stand-alone Desktops operate ESS and 3.0 AV-Only Quite easily as I have experienced - minus this one hiccup. That I know Nothing about Firewalls other than POP3 Port 110 is probably between Ports 109 and 111 is immaterial if ESS Default Settings Truly Protect me.

Since I apparently panicked about a temporary change to Red Status Glitch, if a Moderator wants to Remove this post, go ahead.
