All beta and the final versions have the same problem. When I use a P2P software like uTorrent, I can't use Internet Explorer. All web pages don't load. I think NOD32 use something like a proxy server and block too much connections. Windows Live Messenger and FTP software can connect but not Internet Explorer If I have 2 or more active torrents. When I uninstall NOD32 3.0, Internet Explorer connect to all web page normally when using utorrent.

Sounds like you're using the "Smart Security" version with the firewall, and the firewall for whatever reason is acting up.

Personally if you just want an AV ditch the Smart Security and just get the basic NOD32 AV. :D

No, I use NOD32, not ESET Smart Security.

I have this exact same problem with nod32 and utorrent and I'm only using the nod32 standalone product not the firewall. I thought it was utorrent at first but now I realise its nod32. Any ideas? This problem occurs on the 3.0.551.0 version and havnt tested it with the newer version. Not sure I want to now as 2.7 works like a charm.

The IMON may be interfering with the uTorrent. You can try an exclude that program from IMON.

But we shouldn't have to disable imon should we? I mean it must be more then that in terms of the case of the problem.

The OP is asking about NOD32 v3 (EAV) which does not have IMON.

Please try using the intergrated 'Customer Care support request' in the Help and Support area of your installed EAV and include a link to this thread.

    Cheers :)

As far as i know imon is removed since 3.x.

Maybe you can make some exceptions for the utorrent.exe application or the ports used by utorrent? If it's not possible to make an exception to solve this problem and something have to be disabled i think that's an unacceptable workaround.

I use utorrent as well, but ended up with a uninstall of 3.0 and reinstall of 2.7 pretty fast because of too many issues so never saw this problem.

I use utorrent all the time, and although i uninstalled 3 because its just not ready yet, i had zero issues with using utorrent downloading gigs of stuff while surfing using VOIP etc, it was fine. :) But thats all i can say in praise of it.

Just something I don't understand is why would NOD32 3.0 standalone AV be blocking utorrent? It doesn't have a firewall and utorrent is not detected as malware so how is this problem occuring? And if you read the original thread the problem is not with utorrent alone, its with using utorrent and internet explorer (or any browser for that matter) together. Utorrent works perfectly for me but when I try and browse the internet (using any browser) I'm just not able to do so. I have to restart my pc and not run utorrent and my internet works fine. I am also behind a netgear hardware firewall on my router along with windows internal firewall. I have deleted the old rules and set new ones and disable both firewalls to try and see if that was the problem but it does not seem to be. Everything else points to NOD32 3.0.

If you see my previous answer, youll see it was all working ok for me. I use I.E 7 with Utorrent, no problems with that at all. It just aint ready yet.

I was having problems with just the AV myself with IE7. I would run IE7 and my computer would go to blue and crash.

I reverted back to 2.7 and it went away

So I emailed support and they had me download version 3.0.563.0 and no more problems.

But I was just upgrading my 2.7 for free and they gave me the entire suite this time.

I dont know if the firewall is as good as the one that came with my nvidia chipset. It is more user friendly which is good for the market they are going after.

Maybe support needs to look at this "official" support forum and also read their "support" emails.........

    Hello,

I had the exact same problem and noticed other glitches as well. I first noticed this with Azureus so I switched to uTorrent just to see what would happen. No matter what browser I used or BT client the browsers all were hanging in limbo when running Bit Torrent. Even after shutting down the bit torrent client, it wasn't until a complete restart everything worked again.

NOD32 2.79 works flawless for the most part and after upping to the new 3.0 Windows Explorer crashing as well. Truth be told this is a new release so there are bound to be bugs. When testing the beta, the iTunes store wouldn't work either so I am sticking to 2.79 until the bugs are worked out. The business editions are being released by the end of November so expect a more stable release by then.

As for 3.0 I really miss the IMON and AMON monitors as I can see the files scanned in real-time which is great when troubleshooting other issues. For this reason I am sticking to 2.79

When reverting I didn't need to create any IMON exceptions. Remember if you exclude something from IMON if a threat is present it will still be picked up by AMON.

    Good Luck.

I think I know how to fix this problem, what you need to do is make sure your on the advanced mode, then across the top left click on setup --> antivirus and antispyware. Then where it says web access protection click on "configure". Then from the drop down menu expand "HTTP". Click on "Web browsers" and then in the list make sure utorrent has a "cross" in its box and not a "tick". If its on a tick then click on the box and change it to a cross. This should do the trick!

When i do that to my utorrent in there and cross it, it wont even connect anymore. I didnt have an issue with Utorrent and 563 though, just tried it out anyway. ;)

I'm using V3.0.563.0, Comodo Firewall V2.4.18.184 on XP Home with all updates and µTorrent 1.61 and everything works perfectly well.
I can browse in Firefox, IE and Opera ok.

µTorrent appears in the advanced settings in the web browser section with a tick against it. I presume this means all traffic through µTorrent is scanned.

Well all of those trackers run through http:// so your bit torrent client is overwhelming what is the new IMON in version 3. Im thinking that it's first come first serve and the IMON can't hand additional requests from other web browsers because it is so overwhelmed monitoring the bit torrent tracker requests. If you go back to 2.79 you will see IMON scanning each tracker request but guess what, it works properly and doesn't create a bottleneck for other http requests from your web browsers, that is why if you uncheck your bit torrent client from the advanced settings the problem apparently goes away, I haven't tried it myself yet and I am quite happy sitcking to 2.79. It's funny that oversimplfying the new interface has made it harder to use for us veteran NOD32 users. One of the reasons why I chose NOD32 over the others was because of its advanced interface but I have to kiss all that goodbye if I switch to 3.0
