One thing I have noticed when I started using ESET NOD32 V3 is that I get high CPU utilization and a lack of responsiveness in Windows Vista when a downloaded file is being scanned by NOD32 - downloading to USB2 Flash Drive.

Is anyone else seeing this issue?

I have also noticed a slowdown in downloads, especially when the download is near completion. The download says 100% completed, but takes awhile to actually break off the connection and complete (FireFox gives message'Download Completed') . Probably due to the new version, although I can't be absolutely sure. I'm running Windows XP Home.

Ok good to hear that it's not just me :doubt:
If there is any more information that ESET Team required, I'm happy to help.

It's not just you. Especially since I run a very light setup with only NOD32 and Ghostwall (firewall).

Happenes here also with Opera. I disabled scanning of self extracting archives and in some cases advanced heuristic. Problem solved for now. Not the optimal solution i know.

I encounter this problem as well, especially when the file near to complete. And when I delete the file from some download tools, ekern also jump to 100% CPU utilization.

I'll join you :D (but as I said in another thread this happens on my computer but not on all)

    The temporary solution (works here):
Open Advanced Setup Tree (F5) -> Navigate to Web-protection -> modify the ThreatSense options for the web-protection so that you uncheck Advanced Heuristics (and possibly Runtime packers) . Confirm with OK and try again
