I've found this info at diskeeper blog (http://www.diskeeperblog.com/)

From September 2006 to September 2007:
    1. Symantec Antivirus, Symantec
    2. Symantec Ghost, Symantec
    3. ScanMail, Trend Micro
    4. NeatSuite, Trend Micro
    5. Clnt/Svr, Trend Micro
    6. Tivoli Storage Manager, IBM
    7. Diskeeper, Diskeeper Corporation
    8. InterScan Messaging Security Suite, Trend Micro
    9. SvrProtect, Trend Micro
    10. OfficeScan, Trend Micro

Trend Micro has 5 product at top ten:eek: .
Why? Detection rates are bad. compatibility?, marketing?, or something else?

trendmirco is well-known among corporate user. it also one of the big three (mcafee, symantec, trend micro). they are all old-player and famous that why they got their big names.

If I had to hazard a guess, I would say there are probably significant differences between the TM personal computer products and what is made available to the corporate marketplace. I think McAfee is similar in that their personal product does not have top tier detection rates but their corporate editions of the product do pretty well.

According to various sources, Trend Micro products have detection rate around 90%. Far from bad if you ask me…. You also gotta keep in mind that detection rate is not the only factor when one is choosing corporate product.

    Interesting list.

Essentially only security and storage programs are the best sellers?

What's a defragmenter doing amongst them? I didn't know that so many corporates bought defragmenters.

Notice McAfee did not make the top 10. They must be having a tough time. A search of this forum showed many McAfee users received their software free from Comcast.
