I own Kerio firewall and I am wondering again. Do I need a software firewall if I am running the following.

    1. A Router
    2. NOD 32

Using a software firewall is another darn resource but I am willing to do it to insure I am safe do any help is welcome.

    Thank you,

    Jim

The router will take care of inbound protection. You would only need a software firewall if you want outgoing (network) protection.

When you can't go through your router, and are connected to another connection like a hotel/hotspot/dial-up you can use the Windows firewall for basic inbound protection. Its up to you if you want to control outbound, but just remember, without even a basic software firewall other computers on the same private network created by the router/hotspot could be a security problem, it is how worms easily spread in businesses after only one infected computer got on the network.
