When I send email to my friends and digitally sign it, the ones running NOD32 tell me thatthe signaure is invalid or not trusted. I have since emailed myself @ a secondary account and my NOD32 does it as well. Can this be fixed?

Are you letting NOD32 sign your outbound messages or your inbound messages? Try turning that feature off and see if it solves the problem. (IMON, Setup, click on the "Infected files only" or "no notification" options of "Append notification to email.")

That only fixes it if someone sends me one. I would like to be able to use my digital signture and not have other friends running NOD32 tell me I have an invalid signature.

I'm using digital signatures and nod with no problem... IMON sign is set to "Infected files only"

Not trying to be rude. I just am trying to say that I cannot expect the whole contact list in my Outlook to go change their settings for me. It is set by default to tag the email when incoming. That makes any digital sig look "not trusted" ;)

You cannot expect to have full control over what any recepient of an email chooses to do with it once it reaches them either.

If your friends are reporting that your signature is invalid because their copy of NOD is altering receieved mail before they read it then they either need to alter their IMON settings or learn to live with the fact that they cannot trust digital signing of emails. There is nothing you can do about it at your end. They need to be aware that it is their problem, not yours.

Other anti virus and mail scanning software that appends text to emails on receipt will also cause the same problem, so you would need to have control over what software other people install on their machines as well!

Oh well. I guess I wasted money on that Digital signature. I would think that all AV's would like those and not interfere with it. Back to sending mail the old fashioned way.
