    This is a big welcome

MS Outlook Plug-in für Avira Premium Security Suite

Right now training and configuring of the antispam feature in Avira Premium Security Suite was only possible in the tab \"MailGuard\" of

the Security Suite\'s Control Center. We\'ve enhanced this now with a plug-in for Microsoft Outlook. This plug-in integrates into the MS Outlook

user interface and provides a comfortable training possibility for good mail (\'ham\') and junk mail (\'spam\').

The plug-in offers a new toolbar with 3 options:

Train as spam: this will train the Avira antispam library to detect the selected mail as spam.

Train as ham: this will train the Avira antispam library to detect the selected mail as ham.

Add to whitelist: this will add the sender of the selected mail to the list of known allowed senders (whitelist).

Fortunately for me I don't use Outlook for personal email, so I never get any spam mails there. There are on occassion, spam mail that slips by the corporate gateway on my Outlook inbox at work though. :cautious:

wel spam / ham are the german words. i've read a litle bit about the "history" of those words. it comes from Spiced Porc and Ham
As my english is not that good i can't explain the whole story. i only found it in german:

bitdefender antispam module also refers to it as spam and ham.]
so maybe its just a good way of explaining it.

Ham is really the term that is usually used for "good mail".

So it's not "an Avira thing". It's quite common.

Tick long pieces of red raw tuna would be more appealing as i don't like chicken.

It says you need to download the plugin. I asked for rights to it Friday and my icon is still red in my products in their beta forum. Plus a thread was started by admin but locked. They may be rolling it out Monday. :doubt:

Awwh...SPAM is delicious! :D Hawaii is the number one Spam eating state in the nation. It has a rich history here as that is what folks survived on after Pearl Harbor and to this today tons of spam is eaten here. Lots of speciality dishes use it. When we had the recent hurricane scare, and Wal-Mart remained open after midnight so everyone could get supplies, I saw huge pallets of Spam in the aisles and people were fighting over it.

In Hawaii, "good mail" should be called Spam. ;) Wasn't there a lawsuit from the makers of Spam several years ago about calling unwanted email "spam"?

you need to regsiter to the avira betatest program: http://betatest.avira.com/pages/index.php
but this test is only for licence holders. there isn't any test licence this time.
