When booting up I now get an error message that reads mbr error 3. It's not a big deal, as a matter of fact It now allows me to boot straight into Windows, where as before I had to use Acronis in order to select my OS. I have only one OS wright now, so it really doesn't matter. Anyway, I had heard that by installing the Acronis CD that I could reinstall the OS SELECTOR and that should fix the problem, or my OS CD, does that sound like that might work? All and All, like I has said, it really doesn't matter, it does not effecting anything yet.

You would either need to reactivate (or reinstall) OSS to fix OSS.

If you don't want to use OSS, then deactivate (or uninstall) OSS. It should restore your Windows boot.

Another option would be to boot to your Windows CD/DVD and do a boot repair (fixmbr, etc.)

Hi, folks: Did you delete Acronis TI recently? I remember on my other laptop, I have received similar error message after ATI was deleted. But it did not affect my routines. Take care.

No I had just gotten home from work turned on my computer and there it was. I think, but can't prove that maybe someone had used my computer. My printer was also messed up, which I may add, I have just got back up and running again.
I have removed Acronis from my computer, Am I to understand, I should now re-install Acronis Disk Director Suite? And By doing so, this should get rid of MBR error 3.
    Thanks DKJ
