    LOL :D
Each AV has a certain nomenclature, so it shouldn't be too hard to spot the culprit :p

You don't need to blame anyone for FPs as I think it would be AEC's responsibility to get FPs fixed since the FP was caused by "TrustPort" in such cases and not Dr.Web or AVG or VBA or BitDefender or Norman. ;)

    this forum is biased!
more and more engines = more false positives = standard rating

Only in the retrospective test ;)
FPs shouldn't be an issue with a power user in front of the PC, so I see a niche for an AV with so many engines :)

Exactly, i don't hear this complains at virustotal or jotti's either.

And there are lot's of companies, that found out that one AV is not enough,
and try to scan their data with more engines.
Now this is only made easier.

    ;)

such AV is definitely god send for network enviroment (transparent proxy, emails, networked drives, maybe even IM tunel and so on)

btw Hnanicek : any chance AEC offers TP or similar module for Untangle ? http://www.untangle.com/

    Hi,

our TrustPort Internet Gateway already contains integrated TPAV. We have something we call "internet gateway plugin". It can be easily used for 3party scanning tasks. It is simple DLL providing access to scanning functions of AV.

Yes Dwarden, no big deal. Only thing you need is some documentation and C/C++ header files.

Does Untangle use HAVP for AV scanning? It would be great to integrate TrustPort in HAVP.

This is a thanks to Hnanicek I now have licenses for trustport and I am very happy with it. :)

Side note: I formatted my laptop and tried avira's newest suite.....and it worked fine until I tried to tranfer files from another pc to my laptop through my wireless setup (wireless-n) resulted in BSOD everytime I tried....dont know why but now I have trustport up and running.

    Thanks
