I've only ever used WSFTP, but not to download, just to upload to my server.

WS_FTP Pro will work where others wont, in many cases.
What I don't like about it is when you update to newer versions, I cannot find how to keep my old sites listed.

I've used WS_FTP Pro 6.01 for years, see no point at all to upgrading (since my experience with 'upgrades' is that they often remove useful features only to replace them with stuff I don't need), and have found it easy to use and configure and excellent at both uploading and downloading. To anyone looking for a good and reliable FTP program I'd strongly recommend it. The only unfortunate thing about it is that you actually have to pay for it! :)

    Cheers

    SmartFTP 1.0 Build 979 http://www.smartftp.com

Yea I downloaded it few weeks ago and never really got chance to test it out, but from what I read about it and seen for Features it was exactly what I needed for FTP Client.

It something I recommend giving a try.

The one and only choice for me is Bitkinex. It's a relatively young product and almost nobody knows about it ... but it's just COOL!

FTP is an awful protocol that should have died long ago. Compared to something like sftp and scp, it's just rubbish.

Mr Blaze you should also consider FTPRush found here @ http://www.ftprush.com/

Also FileZilla seems to be the best free option (although I've never used it)
