Running daily scheduled job with a different backup file name

Hi

1. Is there a way to schedule a daily job that will write to a different file each day so there are seven backup files one for each day of the week?

2. Is there a way to clone a scheduled job entry to avoid spending time making a complex file selection repeatedly?

Here's what I do. I use a one line cmd file (Acronis Backup Rename.cmd) as a post command that changes Mybackup.tib to a date format .

if exist N:\MyBackup.tib rename N:\mybackup.tib "%date:/=.%.tib"

N is the Drive with my image files. Modify for your image drive and say the cmd file in C:\

This works for me with XP2 and ATI Home 9.

How do you limit the number of backup files at any one time? If there is no limit, the destination drive will run out eventually no matter how big it is.

I have added the line

H:\Acronis Backup\Acronis Backup Rename.cmd

to the 'after data capture' field and saved the scheduled job. But the line does not stick! I have tried editing the job and reinserting the line several times but every time the 'after data capture' field is cleared out. As a result the backup file is not renamed as needed. What am I doing wrong?

(My apologies if this is a duplicate)

Another approach (completely within TI):

Create a scheduled task that creates Monday.tib on Monday, and Tuesday.tib on Tuesday etc.

Then, when Monday rolls around again, TI will create a new Monday.tib, and will delete the old one.
