When I was last in contact w/ Raxco 092507. I was told I would be contacted when build 204 was released. I feel it's safe to assume this will hold true for all Raxco FD-ISR license holders.

Probably be the version listed on their update page. That page still list 3.20.202. The download link to redownloqd probably expires without a 20.00 tech support contract. Other companies only allow you to download for 30 days without purchasing extended download insurance. Many of the shareware payment companies offer optional download insurance for 5.99 and a backup CD for another charge.

    Edited:

It is version 3.20.202. I downloaded it from my account and extracted the Winzip file it to a folder using Zipstar.

I find it strange that Leapfrog's site still shows v3.20.202. They usually present the new version before the resellers do.

I must admit to being slightly wary of the patch after the troubles I had after the last patch.

I needed 4 new copy engines and then a new complete new .exe download to get things back to A1.

Just contacted Todd at Raxco yesterday. The upgraded version is still in testing by them. I don't know how quick they will be since they dropped the product.

I wouldn't worry about it. Your browser's cache may have still been showing the .202 version until the page was refreshed.

I'm still using the 202 version so I downloaded and tried to install the 205 update but I kept getting an error message and it wouldn't install. Anyone else had problems with install?

    @Le Gourou: cool :)

Waiting for "consensus" re this update.
Have to say the 'update' release path to whom, when and from where is a leetle confusing :doubt:
    Any Official Leapfrog comments?

Changelog notes from Raxco Readme Text

    Build 205
    ---------

Added error message if a license key is entered while the Copy
    Engine is busy.

When creating an Archive, the target archive file is opened before
indexing the source snapshot so that any access errors are
    immediately reported.

Fixed problem where if an archive was on a network drive,
    GetDiskFreeSpaceEx could generate the error:
    Access is denied.

Fixed problem where SetFileShortName would fail with the error:
Cannot create a file when that file already exists.

Fixed problem where if the active snapshot was frozen and was not
part of the default group, the snapshot booted without the prompt
    for a password.

Fixed problem on Windows 2000 where some files generated a spurious
    sharing error during a copy.

Fixed Problem where pressing F1 in the Copy Progress Dialog
    generated an error.

Fixed problem where if the name of a file contained certain Unicode
characters, the log file would show the error:
The data area passed to a system call is too small.

Yeah...it's a bit confusing that the vendors release the update, not the authors.... in the past the updates has been released first at leapfrog and then the vendors. Maybe the vendors has complained, there was alot of pressure on Raxco to release the updates quicker than two three months after Leapfrog released the update (Personally I ditched Raxco version and use the Leapfrog version for that reason.)
A comment from Leapfrog would be nice.

But seeing the changelog I cant say that I need this update anyway.

I would like to have the full installer instead of yet another update file though.
I have emailed for that link to a full installer a week ago but all I have heard from Raxco is: dead silence :thumbd:

Do you have a maintenance contract with Raxco. Without it probably all you can get is the upgrade, as opposed to a new copy of the full version.

Nope, I dont, I guess that is the reason then. Since FDISR was so easy to understand and stable as nothing else I thought I wouldnt need their support, which I never had to btw, it just would have been nice to have only one file to install.

Ah...well no biggie, I have only used the Raxco version to get the license installed so I can use the Leapfrog version anyway. And through this thread I believe I have learnt that I dont have to go through all the hassle a clean install means.

    Peter,
My Raxco 1 year maintainance contract ran out 2 months ago. I downloaded the 205 update but it won't install, so I assume the only way to get a newer version is to buy it.
