    Hi Everyone,

    Today I tried another drive image back up of my "C" drive to my "J" partition on a external HD. I used TI 10 # 4942 to back up to my 90 GB. partition on a Seagate external HD. With Windows XP Pro.
    It looks like a drive image back up was completed. But no validate archive operation was started which I chose to use. In the post command option window I inserted this option, for the frist time, to shut down both Windows and then my computer: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\TSSHUTDN.EXE 0 /DELAY:0 /POWERDOWN . I successfully tested this command with the Run Utility earlier in the day.
    And I received these error messages :
    1. System error occurred while executing: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\TSSHUTDN.EXE 0 /DELAY:0 /POWERDOWN (0x103FF)
    Tag = 0x858CC05F488A8C54
    The system cannot find the file specified (0xFFF0)
    code = 80070002
    Tag = 0xBD28FDBD64EDB8A6

    2. Execution of user command C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\TSSHUTDN.EXE 0 /DELAY:0 /POWERDOWN failed. Error code: 1

    If anyone wants to read up on this command, go to : http://www.aumha.org/win5/a/shutcut.php

    Also I'm attaching 2 Acronis report files with this post .

    If anyone has any feed back it will be appreciated !

    Larry, this issue has been reported here many times before. TI does not execute this type of task properly. Have your tried using a scheduled task to run at shutdown instead. I use this approach with V9 and it works quite well and turns off my machine when complete. Look at this thread for some help https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=187093.

    Hello leoliver,

    Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

    We would like to inform you that the TSSHUTDN command is used to shut down a Terminal Server in Windows 2000 Terminal Services, not the system itself. In order to shut down the Windows XP system one should use shutdown -s -f command. For the full information about Windows XP shutdown command parameters please see Microsoft Windows XP Professional Product Documentation.

    As for the automatic validation of the created archive it should be performed after the post-backup-command has been executed. So if you use shutdown as a post-command or if the execution of the post-command fails the automatic validation won't be started. We may recommend you either to verify an archive later manually or use an opportunity to upgrade to the Acronis True Image 11 Home which has a capability to schedule the backup archives validation.

    If you would like to order Acronis True Image 11 Home Upgrade please visit Acronis online store at http://www.acronis.com/homecomputing/sales/upgrade/

    If you have any further questions concerning our software, please feel free to contact us at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to assist you as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,
    Alexey Bogomolov

    Thanks for your reply, I'll try the shutdown command you listed next week.
