Spy Hunter has found a pair of registry entries that it classes as "Severe". They are:

    AcrolEHelper.AcrolEhlpr.obj

    And

    AcrolEHelper.AcrolEHlpr.obj.1

Something about clop. Neither Blaster, Adaware6, or Spybot seem to be seeing this spy. Does anyone know what it is?

    TIA

    A wellknown f/p by SpyHunter.
AcrolEHelper.AcrolEhlpr.obj is part of Acrobat Reader and completely harmless.

That makes lots of sense. Spy hunter declared two of my bookmarks (Windows update and my homepage) to be browser hijackers and two of my favorite website required ID cookies to be spys at the same time. It also said that for $29.95 they would remove them for me.

    Thumbs down for Spy Hunter!

    Thanks for the response

This is only a suspicion, but I think they want to detect something and scare you into buying it.
What better way is there and detect so-called spyware that AdAware and Spybot S&D don't find.

Well pest patrol isn't too hot on avoiding False positives too. I've experienced some with ad-aware too, but no on the level of pest patrol, spyhunter etc,

Spybot, now that's one that is reliable!
