I have the same message,"Incorrect IP Packet checksum".It comes exactly every 2 minute 8 seconds.
,I have RC1 for the first time installed,firewall is set on"Interactive"Windows XP SP2

Hello everyone!

In our company we using proxy server (with autohirzation) for the internet access. I've configurate proxy server settings in NOD32 RC1, but i've recieving error, that proxy server need authorization. I Configurate proxy server settings and put my login and password, but NOD32 still don't want to update. With NOD32 2.70.39 everything OK. Updating every 2 hours.

Any ideas?

 

To be honest......I think there are too many 'hooks & holes' going on with this RC1, for the AV anyway. Reading this topic since the release, I don't think it's quite ready yet.
Regarding the 'email tagging' problem......not heard anything anymore about it being fixed or found.
I've uninstalled it for now and try Dr. Web 4.44 for a while, as it is ok for Vista now!

 

Now Big Apple be patient. It isnt like they have been working on the suite for any extended period of time.

 

I'll be patient, but let's be honest.....reading the whole topic, there are too many loose stiches just now. I'll be back, don't worry, as my no.1 remains Nod32, so.....

 

Regarding the 'mail tagging'. Have tested Thunderbird and The Bat and everything is fine, so it must be something within Vista, Windows Mail, but it should be tackled by Eset as well, as their tag is all screwed + weird text.

I've got exactly the same problem whit the Firewall, the Windows security center say's that the firewall is OFF, but in the ESS interface say's that the Firewall is ON, just wanted to report that.

 

One question.On the NOD32 beta 2 I had the mirror tab on the advanced
update setup and I could set up a mirroring of the updates I received.On RC1
this tab is missing.Does someone know why?

 

Currently there's no need to have the mirror funcitonal as the update files are not compatible with NOD32 version 2 and I doubt one would install ESS/EAV beta in a large network. In the future, the mirror feature will be activated after supplying the appropriate license key received after purchase.

When I started up this morning a pop-up occured showing a windows security notice: a disabled firewall. When I opened the Nod32 statusscreen, it showed an operational firewall

I found out right after I install ESET Smart Security RC1 on my computer, the internet sharing is blocked by its Firewall, I tried to resume the sharing by temporarily disabling and only trying to use Windows firewall only...
But it couldn't enable the sharing of Internet connection.

 

Restart the computer . If this doesn't help , try what is suggested here:

I have installed the Security Suite and am now locked out of the Activesync functionality on my phone. I have done these instructions to no avail. as per instructions from ActiveSync USB Connection Troubleshooting Guide

For additional firewall software not mentioned, please consult your firewall application documentation on how to add ActiveSync application to the exception list.
Note: ActiveSync files include:

Wcesmgr.exe

Wcescomm.exe
*
Rapimgr.exe

These files have been added to the rules and the 3 hairs I have left are about to be no more. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I am still a noob when it comes to firewall stuff.

Sorry for a stupid question, but I had that date of the licence's end set to 11.01.2007 but today I was told that my licence has expired, though the antivirus is still downloading updates. Is this normal?
I haven't tried ESS before so maybe I just don't know smth?

P.S. I've noticed, that version 3.0.290.0 doesn't show the version of virus database: it writes "%ScannerVersion%" in popup baloon in tray and nothing in open window.
