    Hi..

is here anybody who got the Antispam - Engine to work with TheBat as mailclient?

In ESS I set up thebat.exe as mailclient .. but it just doesn't scan mails.

Are you using the BAT to receive emails in pop3 format on port 110 ?

As for the antispam, only MS Outlook and Outlook Express/Windows Mail are supported. The setting you mentioned has nothing to do with the antispam module. Marking TheBat as an email client will activate the POP3 antivirus control (like IMON POP3 control in NOD32), not antispam.

it will be great to have antivirus and antispam plugins for The Bat!, Kaspersky or AVG have them both. But there is great antispam for The Bat! available, it is called AntispamSniper and it is really great, there is free and paid version, check it in http://www.antispamsniper.com/thebat_plugin.html

It's true that TheBat has some great Anti-spam plug-ins as it is. Unless ESS plans on including robust configuration features to its anti-spam modules like RegEx, URLBL , etc, I am not that interested in using it with TheBat. But I am happy to see any anti-spam efforts ESS has planned for my clients who insist on using Outlook or MS Internet Mail. My assumption here is that ESS's goal regarding anti-spam is to be simple and lightweight as opposed to a power user's dream solution. I don't mean that to be as harsh as it may sound. The tech savvy customer base likely isn't the one in real need of another solution anyway.

If there was a feature that I'd like to see in a new anti-spam solution it would be a "Forward this spam to Knujon" button.

Window Live Mail is NOT supported, I use it and I cannot integrate it no mater what I do.

Running on XP SP2 Spanish, ESS RC1.

Windows Mail, not Windows Live Mail. WLM will probably be supported later.

You got the ESS integration with MS Outlook 2007?

I am using TheBat with at 99%-rate antispamplugin since some years already.
    Then I installed ESS.

Well .. Since ESS-Antispam-Module doesn't support TheBat.. but I was curious how it works, I installed Outlook2007.
    Nothing else.

And the Antispam-Module doesn't do anything. :cautious:
