zonealarm internet security

Hello friends my uncle installed this suite on his pc,I´d like to know if it slows down browsing speed and how often does it update the virus database and how to check if I have the latest database.Thanks

ZASS 7.X.XXX.000: updates AV/AS every hour
ZASS 6.X.XXX.00X: updates AV/AS every day (or so)

Slow down browsing? Not here....

To check you have latest database: look into antivirus/antispyware tab "Definition last update.... XXXXXXX"

If you are on XP check you are on version 7.0.408.000, very stable version and a lots of improvements and fixes...

I, on the other hand, had many troubles with version 7.0.408.000! I tested it for more than a month and I wasn't satisfied at all! Very slow browsing at times, many problems with some processes like vsmon.exe and others. Anyway, maybe your experience will be different!

 

v 7.0.408.00 has been released 4 days ago ...

 

Oops... my mistake! I guess it was the previous version 7.0.33 something!

 

This is one version of zonealarm in last yr or so which has worked fine on my pc....its seems checkpoint has got its act together finally...
