I am using uTorrent, a p2p file sharing program. I recently setup a rule-but I am not sure if the rule is correct. Here is a screenshot: http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/1064/utorrent2lz8.png Is that setup correctly? Oh and I am using port 60300 for utorrent. Also, when I am download a torrent, my logs in look'n'stop looks like this: http://img120.imageshack.us/img120/9416/utorrentvc8.png Should it look like that?
That rule is very open. I use two rules, one for client another for server: http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/48/clientqq5.png http://img101.imageshack.us/img101/6739/serverik8.png
You can get away with using only one rule to allow uTorrent traffic. The original image from dpt.larry was fine except that the uTorrent port was missing. Under TCP/UDP : port (left side), add your uTorrent port (in your case it was 60300). Also make sure to click the Applications... button and add UTORRENT.EXE to the list. This ensures that only uTorrent, and no other program, triggers the rule. Good luck. RyanM
