Does anyone have problems with javascript and Operao_O

I have, after many years of using Opera finally given up for the time being, as some sites will not work for me, not even with the beta release.

I know i can turn Javascript off and configure Opera to allow certain sites to allow JS, but Opera really has become a bit of a resource hog and it seemed like i was spending more time messing about with settings than i was browsing.

I dont have the Javascript problem with Firefox, although i have now installed noscript, speed dial, paste and go, etc and Firefox does now pretty much run as a clone of Opera without the slowdowns and resourse use.

Could we have the honor to be told which specific sites so as to see if we do or don't have similar problems? ;)

On my W2K and WXPSP2 machines, Opera is as light and fast as ever, if not even smoother, and resources are as low as possible, so please be more specific.

    Thanks

The next version has always lesser bugs than the previous one, which is common for all softwares. :)

This site does not load unless i disable javascript.

It does however load instantly with Firefox.

This one does load, but after browsing for a short time system resources shoot up and my computer hangs for a good few minutes, unless i disable javascript of course.

Both work fine on Opera 9.23 as well as 9.5, no resource problems, I have latest Java 1.6 with all updates installed on Win XPx32 and x64. the XP32 machine is ancient dual P-III 850 with 512mb RAM and the x64 is Quad Core with 8Gb RAM.

    Not true! ;)

A new version can have some bugs fixes, but sometimes trying to fix the bugs origins other ones... But normally the program became more stable...
And when some feature is added, it can contain bugs...

So, your statement is incorrect. :p
