My question also. I was always told my dialup connection isn't static which is to my benefit rather than being static.Correct?

At the moment on the Windows hosts:
    - Real-time: GeSWall free, Jetico v1 as a service (needs some rule polishing)
    - Browsing: Firefox with add-ons (NoScript, CookieSafe, etc) and Opera.
    - Mail: Thunderbird with add-ons.
    - On-demand scanning of downloads and attachments with Ewido and A2 CLI scanners and Antivir Classic.
    - On-demand: Tiny Watcher at shutdown with bellgamin's extended ruleset.
    - Hardening (services, TCP settings, ports, accounts, etc), IE lockdown (IE SpyAd, SWB, noaccess.rat), auditing, logs from RkU, RkR, RunScanners and Autoruns and FileCRC as a backup for Tiny Watcher.
    - Up-to-date applications and OS with DEP=OptiOut.

Have I missed something these past few months, but why is Avast Pro being used more and more these days? Has it improved that much?

Avast has a consistent score at AV-Comparatives (Advanced), the web scanner works well, the update system is near flawless and the program is compatible with almost any security app.

Oh well at 95.24% (Aug 07) on-demand rate and 26% (May 07) for new samples as resident, I just though there were better AV's out there in addition to equal\less valued alternative than the $39.95 for Avast Pro.

AV: Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7 (File Access only)
    AT: Comodo BOClean

Hey WSFuser did you get annoyed with all the KIS Anti Hacker pop-ups and thats why you're switching to Look'n'Stop in your both setups? :)

I do not find the Anti-Hacker popups annoying, just use the builtin rule (if any) or allow all and your done.

The reason for the switch is I like LnS and I think its lighter (both memory and network performance). Also there finally is a x64 version of LnS although beta, so I had to try it.

Here it is. Currently its in the sandbox iirc; it needs more reviews before it shows up at Mozilla.

Yeah I know, I would put some programs to allow all as well, I was just wondering. Of course, new toy, you gotta try it. :D

I just tried Privoxy/Vidalia/Tor Bundle last night and I am impressed how much the speed while running on that is now. The speed is reasonable now not like before, when it was damn slow.
