    I checked the stability of Nod32 against process killing , using the program "advanced process termination4.0) , this program has options to kill a process in 18 ways ; Nod32 killed by most of the ways , simply it shows Nod32 has not any self protection against Viruses or other badwares ; the program " advanced process termination 4.0" can be downloaded from
    Code:
    http://www.diamondcs.com.au/downloads/apt.zip
    __ its free ;

    please test it yourself on ESS and if its weak also send the link of this thread to the developers ;

    ( some other security tools can block almost all the ways)

    thanks for your attentions

    You do realize this forum relates to the beta of Eset's Version 3 products?

    I cant find Nod32 2.7 in the results anywhere. However the results Im reading are dated August 2007.

    ESS is there although the beta version used isnt stated probably 1 or 1a.

    The test has also been conducted on a virtual XP SP2 box which in my humble opinion is hardly realistic but its great for scientific testing with only the antivirus product changing.

    Point taken. The ESS beta tested was not very good at protecting itself and if it hasnt been fixed already will probably be seriously overhauled prior to being released to retail (I hope so anyhow), as remember its still a beta and who knows if Beta2 is really going to be the last.

    Maybe one of our moderators should forward this to ESet to allow them to gauge a level of response.
