I am using combined between Zonealarm firewall and kaspersky 7 antivirus and both of them have worked smoothly until a few days ago. My KA always connected to internet by itself and continuous download something I didn't know. It consumes much bandwidth and make my internet much slower than before. I try scan using ZA, KA, Spybot and couldn't found any suspicious. I try uninstalled and re-installed KA but the problem still appear. What happening? Should I switch antivirus?

kaspersky is known to lower the speed of browsing for some people, through its http scanner.

    ok, well your choices are

contact both kaspersky and ZA and enquire about your issue, maybe try some re-installations.

get ZA suite (which includes kaspersky antivirus built in)

ditch ZA, and get Kaspersky suite.

or, you could go a little further and take a 'cooling-off period' and just enjoy a few trials of different AV's, and make a firm decision on the future. :)

Just make sure you Ghost your hard-drive before trying Kaspersky.. or you might be stuck with Chkdsk errors for life. I know I had to reformat my drive after making the mistake of trying it out and then finally I put on NIS2008. Couldn't be happier.

You don't need to switch AV. Kaspersky is a great product with really good detection rate. I would suggest just as C.S.J said to go for ZASS or KIS. My vote you'll find in my sign.
As seperate components they are not working very well together

That Zonealarm firewall is it the new version 7 free one?Doesn't it have some of the ZASS files hidden in the download! The antivirus of the new ZASS is indeed Kaspersky.

That's correct. That's the main reason why it is not working
