Does anyone know why ESS fails the PC Flank test?

Well as for failing the browser privacy test, that is more the job of the browser. Most likely all you have to do is disable referrers and cookies, but doing so will be a pain for every day surfing. I realize some security apps can block these too, like in outpost pro firewall you can use a plugin to block this stuff, but really the browser should handle it. As for the visible ports, I don't know as I am behind a router and it passes. When I get a chance I will test it without the router and see what happens. It passes fine here with the router and disabling referrers and cookies.

I don't know either. The browser issue makes sense. But I am also behind a router, and what concerned me was that I (at least) couldn't find any port stealthing settings in ESS.

Not sure what you mean by "mode of firewall."

When I run the scan, 136 shows up as stealthed, but 135, 137-139 show as "closed"

"Mode of firewall" is either automatic or interactive.

Then it should be in your rules . Try in Automatic , it should block all unauthorised incoming connections . Check your "Trusted zone" , too.

I tried it and all the ports came back as stealthed.

I got that with the Windows Vista firewall and my router's firewall, I think I'll stick with NOD32 2.7 until 3.0 finally comes out, will it include Antispam though or is that only coming with the Suite?
