BS, there are some who have to request a new key....not many though if they bought the key for 6.0 via the shop, you and one other are the only ones with such keys that have posted and generalizing like that won't help eventhough i understand your frustration.

    Hi Don,
Could the fact that the V7 on the e site is for one license on 3 computers have anything to do with it?

I was going to download KIS 7 from the site, and use a Systweak key, but when I noticed that it was good for 3 computers I thought the key would not work. I used the KIS7 from the ftp? site that I had and the key worked OK. I don't know if the KL site download would automatically change to one computer or not.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I am wondering if there is an error on the estore site. I notice that for KIS it shows a 1 year license for up to 3 users for 79.95 but for KAV only one user for $59.95.
Something seems amiss. If the 3 users is correct that is a very good deal for KIS7.

BTW, trjam, the link did not work for me. I had thought that they had taken it off since V7 was on the KL site. I kinda wish I had downloaded from the estore site, and learned whether the key would work, and if it would be for one or up to 3 users. But I don't want to go through the process again.

It might be that the trial version is still for only one user.

    Best,
    Jerry

I'm not trying to jump you, but it's very easy to make things worse than they are. Just because 10 users are having problems....does not mean 10 million US users are having the same problem.............that was my point and there are many more who have installed 7.0 without running into this over the last month when 125 has been available.

Jerry, how many the license is for is located in the key.....not the installer.......rightclick on the key and open it with the notepad, it will say how many users it's for.

Simply download the installer from here:http://www.kaspersky.com/productupdates

I'm having the same issue, but with KAV not KIS. I have a three year licence for one user that works for version 6 and not 7. I have contacted support but have yet to receive an answer after three days.

Thanks, Don. I do wonder if the price of $79.95 shown for 1-3 users for KIS is correct. The KAV shows for only 1 user. I suspect it is an error for KIS.

When I installed KIS today with the Systweak key the Activation module showed for 1 computer.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I'm not up to speed regarding the US pricing, however if you use the promo link http://www.kaspersky.com/version7, then it is $120 for a three user Kaspersky Internet Security 7.0 license and $90.00 for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 7.0, but the US may have special deals available to them.

Thanks for the reply. I guess I'll see if it stays the same. I've got three year licenses for both computers so I can't use one at any price.:D

Seems that there has been a lot of posts regarding licenses lately. Maybe we should now wonder about V8. NOOOO, I wish I had not said that.:D :D
    Forgive me, Don.

    Best,
    Jerry

How long does it usually take to hear back from support on something? I emailed them and also filled out a ticket for the US/Canada support 3 days ago and have yet to hear anything back.

Same here. First time I have needed anything from KAV support but looks like I am not gonna get it.
Well they may not get my money when renewal time comes.:D

But they did manage to email me a KAV 7 release notice today.

I'm on day four. I've emailed them to get an upgaded key for version 7 and have received no response as of yet. This is ridiculous. And people wonder why others lack faith in support. Waiting, for now.

Well this is nice. I got a letter back from US support telling me that my key had expired and that I would have to buy a new one. On my Kav 6 it showed that it expired in August 2008 which it should as it was a 2 year licence. Looks like I just got screwed out of a year of use.

Hope y'all make out better than I did.

I just called Kaspersky USA and the tech made me a new key for my remaining time on the current key and is emailing it to me. He was very helpful and all I had to do was give him my order number.
    That's tech support!!:thumb:

They made a mistake some where.

Do you have a printed copy of your purchase? If you do, I would call them to resolve this.
