I have used spyware blaster on several pcs over the years, but i have run into something weird on this pc. whenever i run the program on this pc, it runs the tutorial every time it starts up. i could live with this, but the problem is, at the end of the tutorial, it always tells me that internet explorer protection is disabled, and that restricted sites protection is disabled. it lets me enable protection at this point, but because i have to enable it every time, i'm worried that i'm not being protected after i close the program.

the tutorial only appears on this pc, and i have uninstalled / reinstalled a few times and always get the same behavior. how do i turn off the tutorial?

Not sure what could be causing this, but try the following (I'm assuming you're running Windows XP).

First make sure that SpywareBlaster isn't running.

Now copy the text inside the 'Quote' box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as Fix.reg (make sure you save as type: 'all files')

Doubleclick Fix.reg, and answer yes when prompted to add its contents to the Registry.

Launch SpywareBlaster and see whether the issue is now resolved.

    JodyMac12-

I did a search here and the only instance of this problem I saw involved multiple accounts. Does not seem like your problem since it happens on startup, but I figured I'd throw it out there just in case.

    Hi Tony,

Can I use your BHO list in my website? It is http://www.solveithere.com. I was looking for a way to contact you but private messaging is not available.

    Thank you,

    Hi Shanmugam.

You should be able to PM me and vice versa, but in short, although we always appreciate a mention, I'm afraid we can't allow the List to be mirrored or posted elsewhere for reasons of database integrity and so on.

    Best regards,
