Seems to be some conflicting information regarding this. Without re-reading the thread I recall that someone contacted Kaspersky and the result that it would be supported.

I did convert my systweak code to a Kaspersky key, and see no reason why it won't work. However, at the present time I have 3.5 months on my AntiVir Premium, and do not want to uninstall it and go through the exercise to see if the Kaspersky license will work.

I am fairly confident it will work, but if not I do not blame Kaspersky, and won't jump off the Empire State Building. :)
    Best,
    Jerry

I tried my Systweak key and the key from the Kaspersky activation tonight, but the answer was that the key was not for "this application."
Since I am using KIS 7, I wonder if that is the reason.o_O

I sent an email, as probably some of you have, and asked it the key was for any Kaspersky application. I was polite, and do not consider that it is Kaspersky's fault if the key is worthless. I hope to get a reply in a day or so. In the meantime I'll just use the KIS 7 trial and see how it runs on my laptop.

In any case, it is not of any great importance, but we can hope can't we?:D
Somehow I don't find myself angry with Systweak either. Who knows how the situation occurred? Just one of those things that we encounter from time to time.

    Regards,
    Jerry

I differ a bit on the statement "it's not Kaspersky's fault".... They approved the vendor (whitelist), and we have emails saying "your key is not in danger of being blacklisted, you are fine". They are the ones that are apparently going to say 'yay or nay' on whether we systweak people are stuck at v6 or not..

If they are going to put us out in the cold, the VERY least they could do is offer us folks a 50% off a 3yr sub or at the very least 1yr.

I know nothing is set in stone, but it not working with the 123 release kind of sounds like the large lady is warming up backstage to me.

That being said if they don't fix the problem or at least offer a very nice deal for people like us/me, then there are plenty of other packages out there, including what seems to sound like a very nice NIS2008 coming around the bend.

I think the problem is Systweak may have gotten KIS6 only keys, not the standard KIS keys. Systweak even mentioned free KIS6 specifically with a purchase, and not just free KIS in general.

I am thinking along the same lines kind of, I'm suspecting my systweak key is starting to smell.. like OEM.. (one version, no upgrade).

i sent email to systweak yesterday and thay said that activation code that came from them as bonus is only valid for KIS 6. quote from email :
... However, the activation key we provided will only work with the version 6.0 of Kaspersky Internet Security Suite ...
    :( :(

if indeed true then they are the dirty dogs for not being forthcoming about the limitations.

It will NOT work until KIS7 is OFFICIALLY released ! If , for some reason it does not work then , I am to contact KL to get a new key . Very simple . Relax guys . RELAX

The reply I received today from KL stated,
The product you are using is supported by Unistal Systems Pvt. Ltd. company.

I have contacted Uninstal to see if they will provide a key.

hollywoodpc, although they did not make the same reply to me, it might be that the key is not good until V7 is released. I'll try it again.
FWIW, I did contact the complaint manager of KL and asked for reconsideration. We'll see what that does.

Hopefully between Uninstal and KL I/we will end up with a key that will work for the 3 year KIS. o_O

If all comes back negative, I'll just forget it.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Being that the beta key I had for 7 expired and all this hoo-ha I uninstalled all KIS7 the other day and put on a 90-day trial of nis2007. By then either KIS7 will be accepting the key and have any release day bugs resolved or norton will come public with a usable nis2008 beta.

Uninstal replied that they do not sell KIS 7, and do not support it. They advised me to install KIS 6 and if I have trouble to contact them.
It may be that when KIS 7 is officially on the KL site that the key might work, or Uninstal might then sell V7.

If in the next three weeks, when my trial of KIS 7 expires I will install V6, and see how that works.

There are some good options, so I will just continue to march, and see what develops.

    Regards,
    Jerry

Well, yup, kaspersky support reply me saying the 3 yrs is OEM v6 key, as such, any issues etc is from unistal. they dun support it. At least there is a confirmation, instead of the past, guess and waiting.

so its v6 for maybe the next 2 yrs unless the fixes/patches for v6 (still yet to release the fix for unable to autio update if set to high security, but fix in v7...) is no longer release or supported...guess have to look for alternative suites. :(

I had asked KL support to reconsider their position that they would not support it. I got a response telling me to apply to KL Sales.
I have done so, and hopefully will get a response in the next day or so.

I have been trialling KIS7, and the trial would have lasted until the 25th. However, I got curious and removed it and installed the latest version of V6. The key worked, and the license is good until 2010. It shows it as a commercial key.

I guess we'll have to wait until KIS/KAV 7 is on the US market, and I may try to use it on the V7 again. I kinda think it will work after introduction of V7.

KIS 7 ran perfectly, and so far V6 is running well on my laptop, but have only had it on a couple of hours.

I am patiently waiting and hoping this will come to pass. It sure seems to be taking a long time. Any guesses how much longer?
