I downloaded Spyware Blaster just two weeks ago. Seeing this new version I figured I should up~date, but when trying to find out what version I have installed now, I clicked properties and it didn't list a version. How do I find out? o_O Thank you..

when u open SWB's interface, u should see it in the bottom left hand corner. The current version(3.5.1) is 6 months old now.

Just wondering why this "new version" thread is still active 6 months after the upgrade? I get fooled every time I get an e-mail of the latest post. For a moment I say Oh a new upgrade to myself, before I realize it's the same 3.5.1 thread.

I seems that this thread is older than you realized. SpywareBlaster 3.5.1 was released in January of 2006! It's definitely past time for a new upgrade.

I would delete the download and do it over. I downloaded mine from Major Geeks.com.

I know this is an old post but does anyone know if SpywareBlaster is compatible with the new Norton 360?

I'm running SUPERAntispyware real time, AVG on demand, and BOClean real time, and of course SpywareBlaster.

The reason I ask is the other day something rather unique happened. While running three different spyware programs a virus attached itself to my computer. It began when I opened a gift card from a very good friend of mine. All three missed it they were Spware Blaster, Spy Sweeper and Avast. It ended with another friend, he owns two computer companys. He spent two hours inside the computers files and found it. Sneaky virus, I had MS on the horn for an hour before my friend arrived. The first thing they wanted me to do was left click on my panel, but there was a problem, that virus broke my mouse.. At the "very" end my friend said, Lee all you need are two programs the others clutter things up. I won't say which ones. "I don't want to start an aurgument"

If you contracted a virus, I would think you would be looking at your Anti-virus app not your anti-spyware apps. I use NOD32 Anti-Virus. I assume you know that anti-spyware apps protect against malware, trojans and the like. Anti-Virus apps protect against Virus'. :ninja:

NOD 32 is a particular brand of anti-virus application. There are many more.
http://www.av-comparatives.org/ There are some really good ones and some lousy ones. After much reading I chose NOD32. Ask before you buy one. Maybe your friend can help. I explained the differance in the last reply. :)

Hi Lee, I'm afraid we're getting a bit off topic in this thread. If you have questions regarding other security programs, please open a new thread in the appropriate forum. :)

    Thank you,
