    I installed this program checked some settings and decided I didn't want it.
    SO I uinstalled it and noticed my systerm was still holding the settings in the software!!!! I forgot the name of the program the last few weeks so couldn't even get it back to re-install it and change the settings.

    Well I installed it again but still can't gett settings to go away.!!!

    Now I can't get into my internet options as it says:
    "THIS OPERATION HAS BEEN CACELLED DUE TO RESTRICTIONS IN EFFECT ON THIS COMPUTER. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR."

    how do I get rid of this stuffo_Oo_O

    I am not aware of that restriction being set within SpywareBlaster.

    Do you happen to run Spybot?

    If so, go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced Mode > Tools > IE Tweaks. There are three "Miscellaneous locks" on Spybot's IE tweaks page:
    • Lock Hosts file read-only as protection against hijackers
    • Lock IE start page setting against user changes (current user)
    • Lock IE control panel against opening from within IE (current user)
    If the "Lock IE control panel against opening from within IE (current user)" is checked, uncheck it and see if you can go into IE > Tools > Internet Options.

    If not the restriction can be removed by editing the registry.
    • Edit this (dword from 00000001 to 00000000):
    Code:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]
    "NoBrowserOptions"=dword:00000001
    • To this:
    Code:
    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Restrictions]
    "NoBrowserOptions"=dword:00000000
    Note: For the registry changes the code can be copied and added to a .reg file.

    I have to say this sounds a little more like the rogue software called "Spyware Blaster" (with the space) as opposed to Javacool's "SpywareBlaster" (no space).
