SnapAPI drivers & Floppy Drive Activity question

Yesterday I downloaded/installed the SnapAPI Acronis Drivers for 9.1 WS so that I could update my bootable media.

Now, everytime I open 9.1 WS from windows, the floppy drive activates. Is there anyway to disable the floppy scan without removing the new drivers?

It's not a giant problem or anything but it does annoy me. I guess if there is no way to disable this feature, I'll just update my bootable meadia and then uninstall the new Drivers.

Any information you can provide would be much appriciated.

Was there any reason for needing to redownload snap
api?

Well, now even uninstalling them won't make it stop. I went into BIOS and just turned off the floppy drive altogether - that sure did the trick, but I was hoping for a better method.

I downloaded the api because I wanted to make sure my boot media has the latest drivers on it.

First of all, please note that Acronis drivers (SnapAPI module) is related to the functionality of Acronis True Image in Windows environment only and it does not affect the Acronis True Image Bootable CD functionality.

The drivers included into the standalone version of Acronis True Image (when booted from Acronis True Image Bootable CD, for example) can be updated by Acronis Development Team only. Usually, the latest build of the appropriate version of Acronis True Image includes the latest drivers for a wide variety of modern hardware. Thus, updating (creating a new Bootable CD) can be useful with the release of the new build.

As for the floppy drive, please not that it is a normal behavior since when you start Acronis True Image it analyzes system for possible storage device.
