Happy to say last night I installed KIS 7 rc2 on all 4 machines (2 notebook 2 desktop) and am going to move all the other products I've got licenses for (most free or almost) to a flash drive for archiving.

    very nice.

Looks like you're gonna be busy again with rc3 out now! :D
Never fear. From what I've been reading in the Kav forum, the final could be released as early as this Mon.!!!

And yes, it is very nice!

these RC sure came in a hurry :) As said, I'm not pushing any panic buttons on that memoryzipper 19$ key yet, but my RC3 install won't take it.. says "not for this application".

For those of you who have tested, thanks! Also, at this point, would you recommend upgrading to the latest from KIS 6 now, or wait until release (or after)? How stable is it?

FYI, its for a Vista machine.

    Thanks!

i wouldn't recommend upgrading, you should export your configuration uninstall v6 and install v7, then you can reimport your config.
as for stability, this is the TR so it's about the same as when it will be released, it should be stable.

    No problem with that.
    This is one great release.
    Smooth, fast and low resources.
Always felt good with KIS running on my machine.
This release even makes it feel better! :D

Technical Release (TR) is usually slated as final release.

    installed drivers:
klif, klim5 (xp/2000 & xp 64)/klim6 (vista), kl1, klop, klin & klick, these last three are more network components then drivers but they do the same thing (on full option)

i think klick & klin are with the firewall, the rest should be there in both.
klif is the kernel driver - interpretor (proactive defense, self defense...)
klim is the minifilter used for traffic monitoring (mail, web, spam...)
kl1 is a driver which rules and governs the others
klop is for license (detecting the number of running copies for example)

    Amazingly stable program this is.

The computer has never run better and this is with all protection components at the highest possible settings. (Even more impressive my computer crashed quite awhile back and I've not gotten it fixed yet. I installed this on my roommate's comp and it's a cheap bare bones Sam's Club special.)

Imagine how well the program would run on an above average pc.. or heck even an average one.

    Bravo Kaspersky Labs... Bravo!

Ad blocking needs some work. Still getting a lot of adverts. Stable... works fine on my laptop at the recommended settings... I'm sure if I kick it up a notch it will slow things down a fair bit. Might forgo ESS and buy a license assuming the heuristics prove to work well.
