    hi,

I have been using Nod32 for a few months now, normally when I buy a program it will display when it expires. I have looked under Nod32 system tools> information and can't see any information relating to when it expires?

When its close to the date will there be some kind of display?

    You're quite welcome. :)

Frankly, it is beyond me why this info cannot be included in the system tools information as it is in most other apps but c'est la vie. :D

This would be feasible only if all installers required a license key for activation that would also include the date of expiration. We are aware of the importance of such information and we'll be thinking of another way of delivering this information than via license keys.

What I've done is take the date from my licence receipt (two year licence) and enter it into Rainlendar (a free desktop calendar utility) as an event in 2008, on the exact date my licence expires. Exactly one month earlier I've made another event as a reminder and set it for a daily recurrence so this will pop up everyday for the month to remind me!;)

JJ - that's a good idea, because NOD32 will not "remind" you if "silent mode" is turned on!

Which is why this information should be readily accessible to a user - on demand - as it is with virtually every other major AV on the market.

This is not entirely true. If SMTP is setup with "Send other warnings to:" in the Notifications tab, under NOD32 System Tools - NOD32 System Setup, warnings will be sent via e-mail a couple weeks out.

that's true - but how many "regular users" setup NOD32 to email warnings in your experience?

This isn't true, or at least in my case.

When I do the configurations for clients, I always set it up to notify me of warnings via email. I will get virus notifications any time one is found, even in silent mode, but I have never once received an email telling me a clients license was about to expire.

I've had customers call me and say "my license expires in 2 weeks, why didn't you tell me". I had no way of knowing until I developed a program to keep track of it all for me.
