Well just tried it with the RC of KIS7. Unfortunately, it does not work with KIS7, only KIS6. Oh well.

Hi Don, my key does not work with KIS 7 RC either. It keeps saying that my key is not for this application. :(

Don, you don't have a Systweak key do you? o_O

I think the keys distributed after Kaspersky alleged Systweak is illegal all have these problems. "Management confusion"....maybe dissatisfaction that KIS licenses were sold so cheap. Since Kaspersky loses money, the company probably decided to limit the license to version 6. :(

I know Kaspersky to be strict regarding such things (for example, the Iolo keys being blacklisted in KAV), and I'm not sure whether I should appreciate it or not.

Hi, folks: KAV/KIS 's key file is hot commdity on cyber space, if you are lucky enough you may stumble into a free one-for 3 years. I would say every 3 or 4 out 10 current v.6 users are fit into this category. That is why they have changed the whole game plan making counterfeit key files useless in v.7. It is a good news for legitimate users but to many loyal long time free-key users it is something tough to swallow.

But Kaspersky said that the Systweak keys are legitimate....I smell something bad here about Kaspersky, and its not a happy feeling at all. I do like Kaspersky as a product, and always will, but their sales team are increasingly acting like pitbulls (excuse the expression).

Hi, folks: your key issued by Systweaks maybe in fact a legitimate one, but perhaps someone in other part of globe happens to have the very same one, stolen from Systweak ? KAV/KIS may not discover this right way, but days go by, eventually they will catch up with time, and bingo, you are out of luck. Just my theory.

USA still the best. But barely.
I think Kaspersky has increased in volume like 10 fold in the past 2 years. When counting all incarnations. I mean just the free AOL AVS probably 4x their users worldwide.

So this is just growing pains imo.

There are some difficulties with the activation server at the moment. Kaspersky is working hard on this one. Please keep in mins that KIS/KAV is still no final so a bug or two is possible.
