    Zemana Anti-Malware 2011

You can scan and remove malicious threats to your computer in just 6 minutes!
    • Anti-malware with multiple anti-virus vendors
    • Specializes in cleaning up hard-to-remove infentions
    • Does not conflict with other security products
    • No installation is required.
    • Does not slow down you PC
    Second Opinion Malware Scanner

Zemana Anti-Malware is a second opinion scanner designed to rescue your computer from malware (viruses, trojans, rootkits, etc.) that have infected your computer despite all the security measures you have taken (such as anti-virus software, firewalls, etc.).

    Scan Cloud

For the files that are classified as suspicious, the Zemana Anti-Malware client sends a request to the Scan Cloud for confirmation that these files are indeed malicious. The Scan Cloud is a cluster of multiple computers residing on the Internet. The Scan Cloud will respond to the request with:

    • Safe
    • Malicious
    • Unkown
When the file is unknown, the Zemana Anti-Malware client uploads the file to the Scan Cloud where the file is scanned using the anti-virus programs of 5 different vendors. Each of these anti-virus programs analyzes the file and responds with "safe" or "malicious."

Yes I can understand that, but they could have developed something new on there own instead of re-branding. :doubt:

Yes but re-branding a product doesn't accomplish that IMO
But a totally brand new product from Zeman may have done that.

May be Zemana customer are not aware of HMP, so they thought why not launch an Anti-Malware product and let them take the benefit of the same.. This will help Zemana, SurfRight and as well as customers too.. :)

Corporate alliances, re-branding, marketing... wow, I can never get my head around such labyrinthine concepts especially since hardly anyone in any industry does anything of the sort. What a relief it is that here in the Wilders Security community I find I am in the majority for failing to grasp such perplexing and entangled matters. o_O

How will this help SurfRight? There is no mention of HMP on the product or site, and the store is within Zemana website.

I wonder if there had been an agreement between the 2 companies.

It is quite possible a partnership exists between the two companies, after all they are using AV engines from other companies.

Do the math: original Hitman Pro lisence 17,95 Euro (for me as a Dutch)

Offer of Zemana $ 14,95 is just over 10 Euro, so why complain over re-brands and joint marketing arrangements with a 40% discount?

Go together like Sunbelt and GFI, (this is like GFI would have their own repainted version of VIPRE)
Would be much better imo :)

Think it's positive to see another security company recommending Hitman Pro, and providing it to their customer base.

I'd like to see an integrated product soon, Zemana keylogging etc + hitman pro scheduled scans.
