I hope that nothing is going badly for Pepi and Spybot.

    Tony M. has passed on?
    I'm sorry to hear that.
    Wasn't he a mod at the board(net-integration)?
    I don't know him.

The update links have been a problem before, but were fixed or changed. It was an overload issue I think.

Pepi added a few more mods and support team members recently.Excellent additions IMO.
Maybe the support team is taking on more responsibility in the support forum so that Pepi can concentrate on the developing of his program. It could be that he is taking a little bit of time off?
I'm not too worried about the status or health of Spybot just yet.

You know I;ve been getting errors on spybot when i try to update for a LONG time now; I uninstalled and downloaded again; reinstalled and I still get it - figured it was just me somehow but now I'm not sure. I'll hafta check it out again but I really do hope that everyone is ok over there!

    Hi guys,

I don't get an error, just "No newer updates available"
My download location is set at Safer-Networking (Europe).

    Regards,

    Pieter

    No error alert here too!

http://security.kolla.de/   is on my link list which I'm scanning regularily for updates 2x  a day (at least)  - and the page always has opened without problems.

The last Spybots S&D update I got from the built in update checker was 3 days ago - a beta update. Since then I also just got the ordinary "no new updates available".

So I think there's nothing to worry about... :D

I have the 1.2 and my latest detection update was 28/04/03

however I noticed this on the news page

    Server has moved   link 04/24/2003

At about 8 p.m. (GMT+2) yesterday, the main server (security.kolla.de) was no longer reachable, displaying a 404 error. The integrated update function wasn't working either.

The reason for this was that my webspace provider moved the pages to a new server, most probably because of over a million page hits yesterday. This (unannounced) move was finished at midnight according to their information, but until the page is available again there may be a delay of up to 24 hours.

So maybe you happened along at a similar time or it may have recurred again Mr Blaze
