    Hello people!

I have a question concerning Windows in general. Is there a possibility to define which process starts first and which starts later. For example: I want that TDS-3 starts just right after all Windows processes have started and that NAV 2003 starts as last process (as an example). Do you think this is possible? :p

Is it possible to move around the keys in the registry or doesn't that do anything. Anyone of you has some ideas?

    Thanks for your help! :D

    Regards,

    Patrice

Wintasks is a nice program for that too.
Isn't there an option in XP itself in the taskmanager or thing like that to cause delays and set priorities for some?

    Hi Patrice,

As long as none of the programs are started as a service, one way is to remove them all from msconfig and write a simple little batch file that starts them in the following order you like.

    Pieter

    Hi Jooske & Pieter!

I see, that I forgot to say, which OS I'm using... Thanks Joose, as I see, you are a careful reader, otherwise you wouldn't have known that I'm using Windows XP Pro. Yes indeed, there is a possibility to set priorities in the task manager. But not for the autostart. It's just for the RAM -you can set which application has a higher priority for the RAM than another. ;)

Thanks Pieter, that's a nice idea as well. But I think, that I would need to program this batch file with delay. Some programs need more time to start up than others. :p

O.K., anyone else has a great idea like the ones above? :D

    Regards,

    Patrice

    Hello, Patrice.

If you have RegRun 3, you can add lsoon commands to your autoexec.nt file with delays to launch programs.
