I think the next AM poll should ask the question do we really care? The heyday and time for this program has long passed.
No, I'm very surprised if we ever see it released. The only thing i wonder now is, what's the excuse this time.
I suspect Jeff is tricking us. I would bet that he simply used Murray's credentials on AM forum. The reason why I think so I expressed in the thread.
I wonder why Jeff is doing on Ad Muncher when he despises with its users. I have no idea how he can be so arrogant. Check out his latest post in the thread ... after years of promises, after Murray's recent promises he dares to say that users are way too impatient ... I have lost words
Complete arrogance, no apologies for the ridiculous time its taking, no explanations of why he won't give any progress reports\updates...I suspect he's doing little if anything.
They can't even keep little promises, like the twitter status update several months ago. How can anyone expect them to keep bigger promises like a 5.0 release? Especially when they won't even update their site to have accurate information...this company is nothing but a scam.
Yes, but what legal action can be done? Their forum is a fiasco with Jeff deleting posts. They have my money Premium License for a year, which I will not renew and false advertising on their website about IE11. There has to be some legal action somewhere on company's that give you this type of bad and misleading service.
There's not much you can do besides try to get your money back from your credit card company if you have some sort of buyer protection. Besides that, just report them on the various online reporting sites and leave bad reviews (softpedia, download.com, etc).
i'm sure those guys are sitting comfortably and laughing about all of us on various forums who still post about AM. it's a dead software, i already kissed my money good bye.
Ad Muncher use to be excellent, now it's just not worth holding onto the hopes that it'll come back I have moved on to bigger and better thing's - Adguard Premium
What I'm only missing is the munching cow in the systray. I liked it. I wish Adguard has some sort of icon animations too.
AdMuncher is going freeware. Big news. If it's not working on IE 11 and isn't nearly as good at filtering as AdGuard, it's no big news. They've let the users down too many times.
He states that it will be free, and apologises to those that have just\recently purchased admuncher as it stands, atm....But its still offered for purchase on the admuncher site....Why not freeze the purchase option with an explanation stating that it is to become 'freeware' in a matter of weeks? Reading between the lines it seems V5 will not be available anytime soon, I think the whole blog is just mischief making nonsense aimed at the currently superior options.
So is 5.0 supposed to filter https or not? Either way, I won't use it because of the way the company has acted over the past 2 years.
There is also an announcement on the Softpedia page, no idea when it will go live (free) or any further news of the current version. I will be sticking with adguard. 5.10 due very soon which promises further improvements. http://news.softpedia.com/news/Ad-Muncher-Now-Completely-Free-for-Everyone-448440.shtml
finally V5 will be "out" ( ) and it will be free ? are u kidding me make no sense what so ever... for me it smell like an Hoax
This makes me proud that I paid for the lifetime license and that I will never be forgotten. I'm touched. Someone understands what he says? I don't. And the best for last. This is really a pearl and I'm seriously considering to buy several lifetime licenses to make Ad Muncher free for future yet unborn generations.
