Not that a name is important, I am merely curious as to how NOD32 got it's name.

It seems to be a rather odd name. Does it mean anything?

Will NOD drop the 32 or change to NOD64 with the rise of the Athlon64 and Intel IA64 computing?

I don't think they will for a good amount of time. 32bit is still the big player while 64bit is slowly gaining reputation.. It also depends on your OS not just CPU.

I'm just guessing of course :)

However I do believe we'll see a boom in 64 apps when Vista is released.

As for renaming it for 64-bit, NOD32x2 seems nice, or maybe NOD32 DDR, or simply 'Eset Anti-Virus System' or maybe......<blah blah> :p:D
