AntiSpyware : Malwarebyte's AntiMalware Free / Spybot S&D / Spywareblaster
Encryption : PGP 9.10 Free

->I use Spybot and Spywareblaster only for their immunization feature
-> When needed, I use two SysInternals tools (Autoruns , Process Explorer)
-> I check suspicious files with VirusTotal

I've gotten rid of the desktop computer and trimmed back to just the security basics for our two laptops:

Paid version of Prevx including the SafeOnline component (which I have not yet configured much).

Sandboxie for using Firefox at public access points, plain Firefox when at home. Whatever built-in malicious-site blacklisted comes with the browser.

Windows firewall, plus the hardware firewall in our wireless router at home.

Routine backups to a NAS plus occasional backups to a USC hard drive, using Paragon's Drive Backup 9 Pro.

Panda's free USB-autorun innoculation utility.

I had more "stuff" installed at various times but it never reported any particular threats found or averted. So Prevx alone plus a good backup plan seems prudent enough.

 

Had been running Vipre and Prevx Paid for quite some time, but am now trying Avast 5 beta 3 with Prevx Paid.

Pretty impressed with this free beta Avast so far. It looks great and has been performing very well.

Just thought I would try something different for a while.

yes it is, very good, and i like that its definitely lighter than Avira was.

when i get a program i examine it for many aspects how the program run with other security program how much cpu how many procesess uses how does it reboot fast or slow how how dificult or easy to configure and then the test i am very picky DefenSewall and system safety passed all this requirements for me i like Online Armor alot but it can wait alitle for now

Testing Avast 5 alongside my dependable OA Premium. This is my first try with Avast and this is indeed nice My Prevx license runs out in 7 weeks so I wanted to give something else a go. Nothing against Prevx at all though it is a bit false positive prone at times. Panda Cloud may be my next trial run unless Avast and I get too comfortable...

Doesn't OA++ and Avast! conflict.
Have you kept the scanner of OA++ off ?

 

Malware Defender next one to be install here,this one is a total winner

 

Malware Defender is one good software but for me I think it is little bit tough to understand.

 

Removed MSE in Win7... just in case to avoid any conflict with a2 Anti-Malware.
