Looks good to me. Make sure you take advantage of online armors 'run safer' option to run your untrusted apps with reduced rights.

    Incredible,

For the first time I passed ALL MY intrusion tests, including all keylogger stuff.

    Behind router/FW

XP Pro SP3 (E5200 @3,13 Mhz, 2GB Ram) running power user with some SRP (not allowed to execute from temp files etc, runing some aps limited user like WMP)

MalwareDefender with NO file protection, startup Registry, my extra Rgsitry and Network groups and internet facing aps protected from tampering ad running in a full functioning but stronger than limited user cage (only specifi disk and regsitry access allowed)

ThreatFire with only some standard cystom rules (outbound, host, screen saver, double extensions)

IE7 for normal, Portable CHromium for dodgy browsing. See how MD denies Chrome's 'out of the box' access to my C:\ root directory :p , while visiting a scam site

I missed DefenseWall (given to Mom of 75) but thi ssetup fully compensates for it, Thanks Xiaolin for MD, :thumb:

    Cheers Kees

    Cheers

    I currently am using

    Anti-virus
    Avira Antivir Free

    Anti-Spy/mal-ware
    Super AntiSpyware Pro
    Spybot Search & Destroy
    Spyware Doctor

    Tools
    Hijackthis
    Sandboxie

I have hardware firewall fully configured.

Anyways I am looking for additions to my security, I've read about Defensewall and Prevx Edge but I am not exactly sure what I need them for and it would be nice to hear some more "stories of success" with those tools or other tools you recommend me.

After seeing what Esets new version 4 can do, I am sold. It is frigging great and on 3 computers it is all I use today. To all other vendors that I have licences for, give them to charity.;)

Thankfully no. As far as i know it only affected the EEE box pc's and not the EEE netbook's.

gave v4 a try and although it didn't find anything I was impressed that it didn't slow my machine down ( as far as I could tell).

My good friend, it isnt what you see, its what it sees. And cleaning, you folks know how long I have harped about a AV being able to clean, it cleans the best of anyone I have seen.

The new Online Scanner would be of use for someone like you and your setup.

What I think is cool is how right they got the first beta. It wont be released for awhile but the end product will be built on the solid ground Eset orginally started with.

Scans every so often with :

    SuperAntiSpyware
    MBAM

SpywareBlaster, Keyscrambler & FF3 (with NoScript and ABP) doing its suff in the background.

Without having read all 146+ pages of this thread I wonder if there are two people here using exactly the same setup, for diversity there's nothing like security apps.
