I'm trying to analyse a few URLS, so that it analysis the files, but once I submit the URLs, I simply get the usual message:

But, it never leaves this state. I opened chrome://net-internals/#events, and I see that the status equals 403 Forbidden.

    o_O

I'm not running any extensions with this Chromium profile, and it's a clean one, so...

I still cannot analyse. :argh: I haven't tried to upload files to see if I could analyse anything. I'm wondering if the problem is the fact I'm blocking connections to Google Analytics? :doubt: Knowing Google, most likely... :ninja:

m00nbl00d, according to NoScript, virustotal.com has 3 other domains associated with it, in order: ajax.ggogleapis.com, google-analytics.com & google.com.

I forbid all; tried to analyze an URL and could not.

Allowing virustotal.com and ajax.ggogleapis.com only (the other 2 were blocked), I was able to analyze an URL. Just FYI.

Those are the domains I'm allowing connections to: www\.virustotal\.com, ajax\.googleapis\.com and www\.google\.com (I don't recall why I had to allow the latter, but when I created the Chromium profile back then, it was needed for some reason.). But, I just can't analyse anything. I've updated Chromium to one of the latest builds two days ago, but nothing.

I'm going to try with another web browser tomorrow and see if it works.

    Thanks for testing. :) :thumb:

    -edit-

I think I know why I'm unable to analyse URLs (and probably files as well). I'm blocking referrers, and if memory still serves me I recall that I had to enable them before. I recreated the batch file that I use for my VT Chromium profile sometime ago, and I forgot to remove the command line flag that blocks referrers. I'll test this tomorrow. :D

Yep, it were the referrers. :argh:

I recall that when VT was still part of Hispasec, that it would alert that referrers were needed. I wonder why Google removed that warning. :ouch: It would have spared me to this trouble. lol

Oddly, I found that I couldn't analyse a link on VirusTotal. I was using Opera 15 with only ABP as any kind of page filter. Then later it was OK, it may have just been a glitch with VT.

Hard to say, but I have no block in place for Google Analytics, and my story is still the same, sometimes it works sometimes it don't, when it doesn't work as it should it just jumps in que line "you're on place 20, 950, 5, 3, 98" etc etc.. it never counts down in a straight line like 100, 99, 98, 50, 3,2,1 but jumps back and forth high and low very weird. :doubt:
