  1. hello

is it useful when TDS starts minimized at windows startup (like an resisdent AT)? does it scans now automatically the memory or only when i start TDS manually?

Not all resident anti trojan programs scan memory. BOClean or Trojan Hunter will scan memory for example and TDS-3 works different. It scans executed files like anti virus software does. Memory will be scanned on startup only.

or any time you tell it to manually. I think the point is, if it wasn't there at start-up, and it can't get by the execute protection, so it can't be in memory. (we hope)

  4. so you recommend not to launch TDS at windows startup? should i start TDS only when i need it?

NO, I recommend, having TDS-3 launch at start-up with a full (and time consuming memory scan), with execution protection enabled, and I recommend leaving it on all the time. Press ctrl-U (update) once a day, and reload it (to do the memory scan) once a day at a moment where you can spare a few minutes (on the way to the can).

I didn't by the world's best AT to cripple its ability to protect me. Use the stuff it gives you.

if one is running Wormguard, does one need to keep TDS running as well?  I am not sure where, if anywhere, there are function overlaps.

Wormguard and TDS-3 work in a different way. There is no overlap when you run both. When running Wormguard you would not notice any slowdowns.
