Update file damaged

    :cautious: Installed trial version this morning and all appears to be working except........Error occured while updating modules (update file damaged) Also what is with the statistical information sent to Eset? Errors? Any suggestions would be welcomed.

    The "update file damaged" may have been a corrupt download of a program module. NOD32 checks whether the update file is damaged before it installs it. I believe it would try updating it again during the next scheduled check (every hour). If you want, you may start an update manually by going to Update --> Update Now, just to make sure.

    The "statistical information" has to do with the ThreatSense.Net feature, which sends data about viruses that have been detected, new unknown viruses, etc., back to Eset. This You can find out more about it by going to NOD32 System Setup --> Setup --> ThreatSense.Net and then clicking the Help button or the blue hyperlink.

    It is part of what makes http://www.virus-radar.com run. It also sends virus samples caught by heuristics back to Eset, so they can make new definitions for them.

    If I look at the posted log, it looks like the corrupted update was redownloaded and installed after the wrong one :)
