Slow boot? Blame systemd!

I've written a tutorial explaining how to use the built-in functionality of the systemd services startup framework to profile and chart boot-related problems, plus a brief introduction of systemd, how to enable/disable services, sample scripts, basic usage, blame command, systemctl utility, creating time and dependency graphs using dot and eog tools, and more. Should be lovely.

Very interesting, had no idea. Unfortunately not yet for SL6.2 and by implication CentOS 6.2 etc.

You don't need it. And frankly, I prefer the old init style.

Thanks for the article. Why do you prefer init over systemd? I ask because I haven't really "used" either (more than copy & pasting templates).
