 Security Alert: Microsoft warns of Terminal Server and "critical" Office security holes

Recent advisories from Microsoft report security vulnerabilities in Microsoft Office and in an ActiveX control that allows remote terminal access. The Office flaw allows any Web page or HTML e-mail message viewed by a user to execute arbitrary commands on the user's system.

The terminal server bug, which can only be exploited if the user has installed a special feature that allows a terminal emulator to appear within a browser window, also can give an attacker complete control.

Note: "Microsoft Office" and "ActiveX" are links.

That special feature is readily available for free I might add. But unless you have a terminal server enabled w2K server running it won't matter to you.

:) Hi UNICRON! I don't always post things that are of concern to me. I try to think of the needs/concerns of others. It seems to work pretty well too.

Have you noticed, as well, that a lot of MS "Critical" Security Flaws are like the story of "The Princess and the Pea?"

    Best Regards,

    ~Prince~

no problem here. I didn't mean to sound like that is a bad idea, it is not.

Ah, um perhaps lol. It might be best if you spell out your reasoning behind this. ;)
