    "Russian State-Sponsored Advanced Persistent Threat Actor Compromises US Government Targets

    Since at least September 2020, a Russian state-sponsored APT actor—known variously as Berserk Bear, Energetic Bear,Team Spy, Dragonfly, Havex, Crouching Yeti, and Koalain open-source reporting—has conducted a campaign against a wide variety of US targets. The Russian state-sponsored APT actor has targeted dozens of SLTT government and aviation networks, attempted intrusions at several SLTT organizations, successfully compromised network infrastructure, and as of 1 October 2020, exfiltrated data from at least two victim servers..."

    F.B.I. and Homeland Security officials also announced on Thursday that Russia’s state hackers had targeted dozens of state and local governments and aviation networks starting in September. They stole data from at least two unidentified victims’ computer servers and continued to crawl through some of the affected networks, the agencies said. Other officials said that the targets included some voting-related systems, and that they may have been collateral damage in the attacks..."
